Azita Ghanizada

Azita was born in Kabul in Afghanistan. Azita is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and received the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Her parents raised her sisters who resided and two sisters in Northern Virginia. Her career on air began with a string of National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada was the principal character of Chiara a performance for which she received the film festival's best actress nomination. She appeared as an actor in a variety of television series, including How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. Most recently, she played the role of a support actress in the action science fiction film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedy series by independent filmmakers You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her acting career in 2008 as a cast part of General Hospital's primetime spinoff, General Hospital.
